IN TIME FOR SHABBOS: Whole Wheat Bread Machine Challah

There is nothing better then homemade challah!
1 cup warm water
1 tablespoon vanilla
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 egg
2 tablespoons honey
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups whole wheat
2 cups regular white flour
1 package dry yeast
Sesame seeds (optional)
Poppy seeds (optional)
1. Place the wet ingredients into the bread machine first. 
2. Then place all the dry ingredients into the bread machine. Make a thumbprint in the flour and put the dry yeast in the thumbprint. 
3. Set the bread machine on the dough setting.
4. Once the dough is ready, take it out and knead for about 10 minutes with some flour. 
5. Shape/braid and let rise for 1 hour, covered with a towel. 
6. Set the oven to 350 degrees. 
7. Brush with egg (and a pinch of sugar) and add sesame or poppy seeds (optional). 
8. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
